It is regarded as a complimentary to quality management system for organizations working in the field of food industry. It is also considered a protective management system for preventing the production of unsafe products that might be harmful to human health. This management system is also conceived as one of the economic systems monitoring production process through specific control points instead of monitoring all production steps to ensure the production of safe food products.
